Field Closure Policy due to Rain
FIELD CLOSURE DUE TO RAIN
The Inter-County Soccer League’s policy is to have the individual clubs notify us when they are closing their fields due to rain. Until we receive notice from the Club Coordinator, Field Coordinator or President we will assume the fields are open. If we do not receive notification then referees will then determine if the field is playable or not upon arrival.
IF A FIELD IS CLOSED YOUR GAME ON THE SCHEDULE WILL SAY "RAINED OUT" IN RED UNDER THE TIME OF YOUR GAME
Field closure notifications should be emailed to the ICSL office at icsl@verizon.net.
Please notify the league as early as 7:00am if possible as teams will begin to travel. Also have your coaches notify the opposing coach.
Once the field is closed it is closed for the rest of the day, and we will not reopen for that day. If the home club is close and away club open, no, we will not switch your game on the weekend.
The ICSL policy is that if a game is stopped because of the weather and less than half the game was played, then it needs to be rescheduled. If second half of the game was started then the game counts and is not rescheduled
